About Restilen

Restilen is a product made in Europe that promises to increase stress resistance, maintain a positive mood, lower symptoms of stress, and helps make you feel more energized. They claim to be made for people who struggle every day with stress, whether long-term or short-term. On top of the stress claims, they also promise to support immunity. This makes sense considering stress and immunity are linked in more than a handful of ways.

  • 5 Key ingredients: Much of the dose is given to Sweet Orange Peel Extract at 500 mg in the form of Serenzo.
  • Branded ingredients: We like how all of the key ingredients are branded and premium.
  • Serenzo is a new ingredient: We’ve reviewed a lot of supplements in the past, but this is the first time we’ve encountered Serenzo. Would be interesting to know what the hype is about.

Restilen Review: ingredients list

These are the key ingredients found in Restilen

  • B-Complex + Magnesium: B-Complex is a common vitamin blend in many supplements as they have a positive effect on quite a lot of body functions and other processes. The magnesium included is in the form of Aquamin. Aquamin is a brand of magnesium that uses marine sources, specifically marine algae. It promises to be a more bioactive form of magnesium than the synthetic version because it quite literally came from the sea.
  • Sweet Orange Peel Extract as Serenzo: The big name in Restilen is Serenzo. Serenzo is produced by Nexira, a company that provides ingredients for supplements and other formulas. Serenzo is their flagship anti-anxiety ingredient made from a blend of citrus fruits, especially sweet orange peel extract. According to a 2018 study of citrus fruits and stress treatments, sweet orange supplementation can result in lower levels of anxiety.
  • Ashwagandha Root Extract as KSM-66: This is the most popular adaptogen in the industry. Ashwagandha’s potency as an anti-stress herb is based on hard science and is one of the most sought-after ingredients in nootropics like Restilen because of its reputation. KSM-66 is the best brand of ashwagandha, known for purity and quality.
  • Green Tea Leaf Extract standardized to 98% L-Theanine: Theanine is the opposite of caffeine. Where caffeine makes you jittery, nervous, theanine keeps you calm and focused. It’s why many stimulants that have caffeine also have theanine, to help counter some of caffeine’s side effects.
  • Saffron Stigma Extract standardized to 0.4% Crocins and 0.4% Safranal: Like many spices, Saffron has many claims to fame when it comes to therapeutic use. Based on our research, the active compounds found in Saffron exert antioxidant benefits that collectively have anti-depressant and anti-stress benefits.
  • Melon Juice Concentrate as SOD B Extramel: Research says melon juice concentrate has active compounds that help regulate immunity as well as help manage blood sugar levels. It’s great, but the dosage is questionable at 10 mg.

Restilen Review: formula analysis

Restilen’s formula is actually pretty good when it comes to their claims on stress, mood, and anxiety.

Serenzo, the main ingredient that is dosed the highest, turned out to be a pretty high grade brand. The only nitpick we have on this ingredient is the lack of solid science, as the research on citrus fruits and stress is not as big as the likes of ashwagandha or theanine.

So, the formula itself is good enough for claims on anxiety and stress, but we are not entirely sold on the immunity benefits as their one and only immunity ingredient is barely felt at 10 mg.

You can correlate stress and immunity and say the formula does help the immune system, but we’d prefer it if they actually have an ingredient dedicated for that one specific function.

So, does Restilen work?

On anxiety, stress, we say Restilen passes. The studies on the ingredients used are good enough despite Serenzo’s lackluster research. Ironically, the ingredients that carried Restilen isn’t Serenzo, but Ashwagandha and Theanine, which only make up half of Serenzo’s total dosage.

Does Restilen have a lot of caffeine?

There’s no caffeine in Restilen. It’s not your typical nootropic where it’s meant to stimulate. Rather, it’s meant to keep you calm and focused.

Who is Restilen made for?

Restilen is made for people who are stressed about work or school almost every day or during hectic months. You can say Restilen is made for everybody, but we think it’s particularly useful for those trying to climb the corporate ladder or pass a subject in college.

Restilen Review: side effects

The ingredients are all natural and in mostly modest dosages, so there shouldn’t be any noticeable side effects. However, if you do feel something that’s not supposed to happen, stop taking Restilen and seek professional help.

Restilen Review: pros and cons

Pros

  • All natural ingredients.
  • Formula transparency
  • Possibly little to no side effects
  • Premium ingredients
  • Evidence-based formulation
  • Ashwagandha and Theanine are good for stress

Cons

  • Only available online.
  • Expensive per one bottle

Restilen Review: summary

Restilen definitely has all the makings of a good anti-anxiety and anti-stress supplement. The ingredients used are known to help with stress management and are in branded form. This is a good indication of quality, because adding premium ingredients in your formula means you know what you’re doing.

Unfortunately, making a premium formula can make your product more on the expensive side, especially if you’re just purchasing one bottle. If you’re after a long-term approach, though, buying the 6-pack will save you 50% per month.
