Anthropologie Knock Off--Dinnerware Rack

This was my knock-off challenge for SYTYC! Here is the post, I wrote, then I will give you a tutorial at the end!
I have an awkward area in my kitchen were a chimney used to be, and have been searching for a way to decorate it. When I found the Place Setting Hook Rack from Anthropologie, I knew it was just the thing to fill the space, and provide storage for my aprons. Being a DIY'er I gaped at the $40 price tag, and knew I could make it just how I wanted for much less.
It is hard to tell from the picture, but Anthropologie's version is small, it is only 12 inches wide. I needed something wider to fill the space, my knock-off version is 22.5 inches wide. Also, I did not like the solid gray color, I wanted something with more depth. I painted mine ivory, and distressed both the decorative piece, and the silverware. Additionally, I decided to make the handles the opposite direction so I could show off the cutest part of the utensil, the stem.
By finding a fun rod iron decorative piece, thrift store utensils for mere pennies, I created a one of a kind charming piece that is both functional and decorative. My aprons have never been so happy!
Items Needed

Decorative Iron piece, I bought mine on sale at Rod Works for $11.34
Silverware, I chose medium weight silverware that bends easily.
JB Weld to bond the silverware to the iron piece.

Spray paint (if needed)
The iron piece that I purchased was black, and I did not think it would go in my kitchen as well, so using some spray paint I already had, I spray painted it an ivory color.

I then distressed the iron by sanding it lightly and adding brown glaze that I had on hand.

Next, bend your silverware to make hooks. Because I chose medium weight silverware at the thrift store, I knew it would bend easily. I bent it on my ugly back door railing... I finally found a use for it!

I attached the silverware to the iron piece using J B Weld... we use this at the farm from time to time. Just follow the directions on the back. You can find J B Weld at the hardware store.
J B Weld works great, but it takes a little time (overnight) for it to set good. So I put rice in plastic bags, and set them over the silverware to help it stay put. It worked well. After it was set, I had to sand some of the JB weld off that ran down the rack.
The silverware hooks seem firmly in place. I can't promise it will hold up to heavy winter coats, but it seems to handle my aprons just fine.
I really like how it turned out, and it looks perfect in the awkward kitchen space. I am just realizing this angle makes the rack look off... I don't think it was...
When people visit my kitchen, they always asked me where I purchased my darling apron rack.
