Ten Minute Block Quilt

I know I have been slacking on blogging lately sorry, this summer is running out, and I am way to into the Olympics to blog at night!

I wanted to share the quilt I made for my little sister for her wedding!  This quilt looks very impressive, but it is extremely easy sew.  You create each ten minute block with only three seams-- pretty cool.

I learned how to make this quilt from a fan class I took from Shannon, at a local quilt retreat sponsored by Pie Plate Patterns!

Another great feature is this is a FREE pattern! You can watch the above You Tube video, and you can print off a .PDF version HERE! Also, another plus, you can use a Moda Layer Cake, so you don't have to cut out any squares.  The design for this quilt is from Moda's Strawberry Field's Collection!

The final result is just cute!  My sister has a thing for Berries,  I hope she will enjoy this quilt for a long time!

I like to Party HERE!

  4. Your quilt turned out really cute. What a great gift and I am sure your sister will love it. Thanks for sharing your finished project. Isn't it nice to know something got done at your class and isn't sitting in a closet waiting to be done. Good job. Hope to see you next year at the retreat, or maybe sooner. Stop and and say hi at the Corn Wagon if you are ever in Springville.
