It is finally February, and Love is in the air! I was so excited when Ashley from Cherished bliss approached me about doing a Valentines Day Themed post for her 14 Days of Love! My theme is Love Letters, and I am so excited to complete a project I have been thinking about for awhile!
While I have been going through drawers and closets, I have found so many little letters. Letters, sweet little notes, that my husband gave me over the years, that I wanted to keep, I just did not have a space for them. So I needed to create somewhere to keep them, so I can enjoy and treasure them.
So I decided to make a box just for Love Letters! I kept it simple and sweet!
Items Needed:
Box (I have had this for awhile it is a metal lunch box)
Scrapbook Paper (I bought La Creme Stack, the black is actually velvet like)
Mod Podge
Ribbon
Step 1:
Cut out paper in the correct size to wrap your box. Carefully Mod Podge your paper onto your box.
Note to self, do not Mod Podge the velvet decals on my paper, it makes a black furry mess!
Step 2: Embellish
I created some simple word art in Photoshop. I printed it off, and distressed it with black ink.
I tied some ribbon to the handle and distressed the top. I also Mod Podged some black paper around the top of the box.
The result a sweet little box, to put all of our Love Letters in!
If something is precious to you, you need to treasure it.
This is a sweet reminder of our love, we can see everyday.
Don't Miss out on any of the fun 14 Days of Love post at other fantastic blogs. Yesterday Vanessa and Heather of At The Picket Fence shared a fun Valentines Day Countdown, and Candy Topiaries. Tomorrow, I will see you at the Sasse Life!
Thanks again Ashley for having me! Be sure to check back in with Cherished Bliss for a fun linky party and fabulous giveaways, at the end of the 14 Day of Love, February 7th!
