Weekend Show Off Party 12-29

Is it the Weekend Already?
Ladybird Ln
Even though I have done NOTHING {fun} this week has flown by!  How was your Christmas?  Let me tell you about my Christmas dinner...

I decided, kind of at the last minute, to have a small Christmas dinner at my house, with some family who lives around.

Christmas Morning 4 am, my oldest daughter wakes up, throwing up.  So I spent all morning in the bathroom with her.  She felt a little better by 7:30ish, so we opened Christmas presents and had a good time, I mean really you have to be EXTREMELY sick to not want to open up Christmas presents!

So at this point, I think, should we have Christmas dinner?  I am pretty sure the sudden illness was induced by the over consumption of sugar, cookies, and egg nog.  SO I still host Christmas dinner.

It went really well, everyone seemed to be having a good time.  My oldest daughter still was not feeling great, but everything went as well as to be expected.

The day after Christmas I get sick, my youngest two get sick.  My husbands Aunt Lisa gets sick, my Uncle Joel gets sick, my brother... sick.   My brother-in-law had to be hospitilized because he was SO sick.  And this is not just a little sick, it is 18-24 hours of misery!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!  Aren't you sad I did not invite you to Christmas dinner?

So this past week, I have taken care of sick kids, being really sick myself.  I did manage to take all of the Christmas decorations down.  I have probably done 15 loads of laundry.  In fact, I did so much laundry a pipe burst that returns all of the dirty water, so my basement flooded with dirty laundry water, yum.  Additionally, we took my car to get a safety inspection, of course there was a bad ty-rod (sp), so I have been car-less for the past day, my trusty external hardrive is NOT working, which really puts a damper on all the graphic design stuff I am doing for other people... so it has not been the most fun Christmas break, but hey it could be worse....

Yes, things could always be worse!

So anyway, sorry I was absent on the blog this week!

I can't wait to see what you have been up to!

  2. Wow I'm sorry for the less than stellar Christmas. By coincidence, my son woke up throwing up at 4 a.m. Christmas morning, too. We've been playing roulette since then - is he going to be sick again? My daughter got sick, too and both are off and on again, sick. Crossing fingers now that now one else gets it.

  5. Thank you for hosting the linky party. I love the way your pictures are actually big enough that you can see what people are posting. I love your blog. I have been following you (through "my favorites") for about a year. When I created my blog I listed you so that I know when you have posted and can easily pop over and see what you are up too. I am a newbie, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I wish you a Happy New Year, maybe it will be a little better than Christmas.
