BEST Baked Beans!

Many people claim to have the recipe for the 'BEST' baked beans... but they are all lying, this is the 'BEST' recipe for baked beans! In fact, this is the only recipe someone has offered to pay me for (easiest 50 bucks I ever made, haha)! My mom got this recipe YEARS ago off of a talk show that was sharing soap stars favorite recipes, so you know it is legit! I am requested to make this tasty dish for get togethers and barbecues all summer long!

BEST Baked Beans
2 large cans pork and beans (or four small)
1 1/2 cups maple syrup
1 cup catchup
1 pkg. bacon
additional syrup

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Drain and discard liquid from pork and beans. Pour beans, catsup, and syrup into 9x13 pan.
Cut strips of bacon in half, lay across the top of beans. Pour additional syrup on the bacon so the bacon blackens. Bake at 350 degrees for 2 hours, or until mixture is thickened. Bacon should be darkened. Spoon off any excess oil.
That is it! People are usually amazed at how easy it is to make! Just give it plenty of time to cook in the oven to thicken.
This really is the best baked bean recipe!

  12. Your picture looks great. I will try these. Have you ever used real maple syrup instead of pancake syrup? I'll bet it would be even better but expensive. I have some Pennsylvania real maple syrup here so I think I'll give it a try.

  15. A good baked bean recipe is all in the eye of the recipe holder isn't it?! EVERYONE has their own version. I have been playing with one that has vinegar in it for a little zip. Yours looks awesome!
