Chasing butterflies on second base, teammates clamoring for the same ball, picking dandelions, parents yelling to their kids to RUN RUN RUN--it must be T ball season again.
T stands for treats right?
Well it was our turn to bring treats, and I thought instead of buying a store bought goody (which believe me I have done plenty of times--this is not my norm) I would get creative! So we dressed up some classics, rice crispy treats, and water bottles!
T Ball Treats
Items Needed:
4 tablespoons butter or margarine
5 cups miniature marshmallows ( I reserve 1 cup to put in after the rice krispies have been mixed)
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp almond extract (my addition J)
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
Almond Bark
Red decorating frosting; I used Betty Crocker’s Cookie Icing in a tube, and it worked great!
Popsicle sticks
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
Remove from heat, add vanilla, and almond extract.
2. Add rice krispies cereal, and extra marshmallows. Stir until well coated.
3. Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into jelly roll pan coated with cooking spray.
4. While still warm, use a cup or round cookie cutter to make your circle for the balls. Insert your popsicle sticks while still warm.
5. Let cool, frost with almond bark, I heat my almond bark up in a little crock pot.
6. Make Baseball threads with red tube frosting, I just bought a tube of pre-made Betty Crocker frosting.
These turned out so yummy! The almond extract made the Rice Krispy Treats taste a little gourmet--if that is possible!
I put the treats in a simple sandwich bags, and tied with a navy blue ribbon.
OK, then I got really fancy~well fancy for me. I made labels to cover water bottles. I was so excited to do this.... we have tons of water bottles, or so I thought. I got these all printed out, to realize I did not have enough, ugh.
I did not have enough time to buy some more, but it is OK, I will share them with you. I did it all black and white so you can print them on your favorite teams color! To print just click on the image and it will give you full size resolution. I just cut the wrappers, and taped them onto the bottle!
Best of all my daughter loved them, and was excited to hand them out!

Such a nice and cute idea. Love the handle so the kids don't have to touch with their hands when they've been playing ball. Cute sticker too, and you even thought of doing it in black and white so we can use favorite team colors. Nice. Thank you for linking this well thought out post to Joy of Desserts.
